Rashtriya Raksha University — India’s only national security university — offers one of the most specialised LL.M programmes in Maritime Laws in the country. Aishwarye serves as Visiting Faculty, imparting commercial maritime legal knowledge to LL.M students with a focus on the practical realities of shipping law, incident management, cargo disputes, and the intersection of maritime law with India’s national security architecture.

His teaching draws directly on his live practice at A.P. Møller Maersk and Lardner North & Co. — bringing case studies, real disputes, and current industry developments into the classroom.

International Maritime Arbitration Moot (IMAM)

The International Maritime Arbitration Moot Court (IMAM) is one of the most prestigious moot court competitions in maritime law globally — organised by National Law University Odisha in collaboration with the Institute of International Shipping & Trade Law at Swansea University, United Kingdom.

As Senior Arbitrator, Aishwarye adjudicates oral rounds and written submissions, mentors participants on arbitration procedure and substantive maritime law, and contributes to the development of the moot problem and evaluation criteria. His participation brings practitioner-level expertise directly into this academic competition, ensuring that student participants are judged to the standards of real commercial arbitration.

14-Day Triple Credit Course

In January 2025, Aishwarye directed and conducted a 14-day Triple Credit Course on International Maritime Law & Practice at National Law University Odisha — the most comprehensive intensive course in maritime law available in India.

The course was designed for a multi-disciplinary audience — bringing together lawyers, law students, marine superintendents, ship charterers, ship owners, marine insurers, and vessel operators under one roof for an immersive, practice-led maritime legal education experience. Running from 6 to 18 January 2025, the course covered the full spectrum of maritime commercial law in unprecedented depth.

Guest Lecture at the National Law Conclave 2026, Symbiosis Institute of Management, Pune. Presented original research and commentary on the historical depth and contemporary significance of India’s maritime heritage — from ancient trade routes to modern shipping corridors — and its implications for India’s legal and economic future.

Moot Court Judge — 1st National Moot Court Competition, RRU

Adjudicated the inaugural National Moot Court Competition of Rashtriya Raksha University (Central University), Gandhinagar — bringing practitioner-level rigour to the evaluation of student advocacy and legal argument in what was a landmark event for India’s national security university.

Resource Person — Indo-Pacific Regional Dialogue (IPRD) 2021

Contributed as Resource Person to the Indo-Pacific Regional Dialogue (IPRD) 2021 — the apex strategic dialogue platform of the Indian Navy, co-organised with the National Maritime Foundation. Participated in Track 1.5 diplomatic engagement with government officials and policy makers from ASEAN and West Asian countries on regional maritime security and legal frameworks.

Ongoing Lectures — Rashtriya Raksha University, Gandhinagar

Delivering regular guest and visiting faculty lectures to LL.M (Maritime Laws) students at RRU on topics spanning commercial maritime law, shipping industry practice, and the international legal framework governing sea trade. Lectures are designed to bridge academic doctrine with the practical realities of contemporary maritime legal practice.
